Time stood still and she could feel her heart breaking, and her dreams dying within her.
Full view please. This artwork was inspired by problems of the heart, as well as 'Heart of Glass" sung by Blondie.
I believe that at some time in our lives, the majority of us have had, or will have, our heart shattered by someone close to us.
In this artwork, her heart is breaking and shattering within her chest and leaving her body through the top of her dress in pieces and the shattered glass background reflects this...just in case it isn't obious A lot of painting in this one, which gave me a new appreciation for those digital artists who actually know what they are doing.
Your right the back does not look like broken glass.
I love the idea, I'm glad I read your comments because I didnt put "breaking heart" to it . I know I'm an old sexist and yes its only cause your a male! lol
It IS very cool to hear a male understands OR tries to understand a breakin heart!! We females break too easily for sure!

Fantastic!!! She has that look in her eyes like she is just totally lost to the feeling/experience. Almost like she's not even there at all...she's just in her own world. Love the concept. You did beautifully Coral as usual! GREAT work!
I like conceptual art about loss of love...you did a very great job!

The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to talk, mad to live, mad to be saved, who burn, burn, burn like fabulous roman candles and in the middle you see the blue light and we all go 'Aw'.--Kerouac
Thank you I am hearing a lot of sad stories lately, which is influencing what I am creating. I am working on a new piece called 'When Love Dies'. Think I will have to start mixing with happier people.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
